Community Service

We Make It Our Priority To Give Back

First and foremost, we do our best to be the kind of business that helps sustain a healthy community: skillful, fair, kind, and honest. We show up on time, work safely and quickly, and make sure we give people good value for their investment. We aim for perfection, but when we make a mistake we apologize and make things right. Our employees earn an average of 25% more than the industry standard, receive full-coverage health insurance 100% paid for by the business, and a 401K plan with a 5% match. They can even take advantage of college tuition reimbursement after one year of employment.

Our Culture

We Are More Than Just Movers

We’ve got degrees in Criminal Justice and Music and History. We’re massage therapists and comic book makers and math whizzes. We might even bore you with arcane facts about little-known or long-forgotten Civil War Generals. We’re movers by chance but also by choice. We love the physical challenge, the team work, the righteous feeling of a tired body at the end of a hard day’s work. We love that each day is different, love seeing fast progress in our work, love the simple pleasure of carrying out every task, no matter how small, with skill and care. Maybe most importantly, we love meeting new people and making a small but important difference in their lives during a stressful time. And, of course, we love all the thanks and appreciation we get. (After all, we’re only human!)

Our company values hard work, friendliness and sustainability. We strive to provide a premium service for our customers and we treat our employees as if they were our family.

We try to have as much fun as is humanly possible while performing a tedious and sometimes down-right unpleasant job. Your job duties would include (but not be limited to) the following: Moving stuff; carrying heavy and awkwardly shaped furniture, carrying or dollying a seemingly endless array of boxes and/or plastic totes. Other exciting/rewarding tasks may include; (dis)assembling furniture, wrapping things in moving pads, pondering the essence of materialism in American society, engaging in polite and witty conversation while carrying a sleeper sofa up three flights of stairs in 95-degree heat, orienting furniture to adhere to the fundamentals of Feng Shui, but mostly just carrying things onto or off of a moving truck. Some days will be a relative cake-walk, others will seriously test your resolve to continue the eternal struggle of 'man vs. boxes'. But most days will fall somewhere in the middle-ground - a daily skirmish against the dark forces of consumerism.

... And we'll give extra consideration for the following:
1. Prior experience as a professional mover.
2. Possess a class D2 or class B commercial drivers license.
3. Growing up on a farm.
4. Exceptional physical strength or endurance.
5. An interest in abstruse historical topics, i.e. what factors contributed to the decline and fall of the Roman Empire.
